Just what IS a troubleshooter? Here is Hannibal's own description of his work.

"I'm not really a detective, although I do have a private investigator's license. And I'm not a bodyguard, although I have been known to protect people from danger. And I'm not a strong-arm man, but I do sometimes have to fight on the job. I'm a troubleshooter. I help people out of tight spots."

APPEARANCE: Height: 6 feet Weight: 170 lbs Build: Thin, wiry Skin: Golden, with a clear complexion Eyes: Hazel Hair: Dark brown, wavy, cut short	DESCRIPTION: Hannibal Jones carries himself with confidence, and his walk would mark him as a policeman. He has no nervous habits, except at times of deep concentration when he is completely still except for one finger tapping up and down. Left handed.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Three years as patrolman - Manhattan Police Dept. Seven years as special agent - United States Treasury Dept. Expert kick boxer	PERSONAL HABITS: Hannibal Jones seems to be a solitary man, dating rarely and then attaching to one woman only. He is a man of habit rather than spontaneity, always parking in the same place, for example. On business he always wears a black suit and tie and tight black gloves.

 

When working he typically wears his signature Oakley sunglasses, perhaps to avoid questions about his eye color, which I believe to be unique for a black man. He is usually soft spoken even when involved in violence, but verbally aggressive when seeking the facts.

 

 

His carry weapon is a Sig Sauer P229 in .40 caliber which he wears in a shoulder holster.

He volunteers at The Foggy Bottom Homeless Shelter Northeast every Tuesday. Runs through his neighborhood three mornings each week unless he is on a case.

Hannibal Jones is not a smoker, and appears to avoid all drugs. His very low tolerance for alcohol indicates little drinking. He does, however, appear to be a strong and frequent coffee drinker. Hannibal has driven Volvos exclusively since his first automobile purchase. He currently drives a white Volvo 850 GLT.

Hannibal Jones can usually be seen listening to blues or contemporary jazz music, but we have learned that in private moments he prefers classic rock. This dichotomy seems to have to do with the conflict between his private identity and his public image.
